Loveden jewelry is made to be worn often, noticed closely, and kept a little longer. A few simple habits will help preserve its original finish.

Everyday Care

Put your jewelry on last and take it off first. Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotion, hairspray, household cleaners and other chemicals.

Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. After wearing, gently wipe each piece with a clean, soft cloth and store it separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box.

Plated Brass

Our plated brass pieces have a gold-tone or silver-tone finish applied over a brass base.

To protect the plating, keep the piece away from water, sweat and chemicals. Do not use abrasive polishing cloths, metal cleaners or jewelry dips, as these may wear away the finish. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth only.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is durable and naturally more resistant to tarnishing. If the piece also has a plated finish, however, repeated exposure to water and chemicals may still affect its color over time.

Wipe the piece dry after contact with moisture and store it in a clean, dry place.

Pearls & Crystals

Pearls and crystals should be handled gently. Avoid soaking them or exposing them to perfume, hairspray, alcohol and high heat.

Wipe them carefully after wear and store them separately to prevent scratching, loosening or surface damage.

Natural Changes

Plated jewelry may gradually soften in color with regular wear. This is a natural characteristic of the material rather than a defect.

How quickly the finish changes depends on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, moisture and contact with cosmetic products. Treat each piece carefully, and it will stay with you through more versions of yourself.
